When designing the AR FRD Frameset, Felt knew it had to be exceedingly aerodynamic, brilliantly light, and wonderfully responsive to appease their World Tour breakaway specialists and sprinters. To achieve that lofty goal, Felt utilizes their UHC Ultimate + TeXtreme carbon in the frame and fork. To maximize your efficiency, a BB30 bottom bracket delivers your power straight to the pavement and a tapered head tube responds to your every input. To ratchet up the aerodynamics, a rear wheel cutout, internal electronic cable routing, and a reversible aero seatpost help this rocket hide from the wind. You're looking at the ticket to a faster you.
Felt's MMC (Modular Monocoque Construction) method is an advanced carbon manufacturing process that allows Felt to mold individual sections of a frame (see image above) prior to assembly. This allows each frame section to be optimized for its individual requirements before being fused together. The result is a frame with completely integrated joints that offer superior strength, durability and a refined appearance.
