Racing Bikes

With their longer stack and a lower reach, the geometries of these racing bikes allow for an aerodynamic and efficient posture while riding. Short wheelbases and stiff tubing give race bikes in this category precisely tuned handling. Moment Bicycles in San Diego carries road bikes from Cervelo, BMC, Felt, Specialized, Giant, Guru, and Parlee, offering a slew of fit and performance opportunities that will take you from one podium to the next.

Cervelo R5 Dura Ace Di2 Disc
$12,000.00
WHAT GOES UP MUST COME DOWN R5 has one job—get to the top, fast. But for all the glory and fanfare that comes with a summit finish, they're rarely the only climb of the day. And while a race isn't usually won on a descent, they can certainly be lost. A climbing bike that can't carve a hairpin is a bit like a cup of decaf coffee. This is the fourth iteration of the R5, and while weight and stiffness have varied over the years, the handling, poise, and unmatched prowess on a descent have been consistent since day one.
Giant TCR Advanced SL 0 Disc
$11,900.00
A legend reborn. The bike that has been at the leading edge of road racing innovation for more than three decades is redesigned to be even lighter, stiffer, and more aerodynamic. It’s the ultimate all-rounder for the performance-obsessed. Updated and improved in all aspects of road racing performance, the new TCR Advanced SL Disc achieves a previously unobtainable stiffness-to-weight ratio for faster climbing and sprinting, plus new aerodynamic gains for all-around efficiency. It’s the choice of CCC Team WorldTour racers like Greg Van Avermaet on challenging road courses that demand uncompromised performance in the pursuit of victory. New aerodynamic tube shaping on the headtube, downtube, and fork makes it a killer on breakaways, sprints, and solo chase efforts. The new TCR Advanced SL Disc also builds on its proven climbing capabilities, boasting the highest stiffness-to-weight ratio ever seen in a TCR. Additional key updates include added clearance in the frame and fork to fit larger diameter tires up to 32mm, the latest integrated WheelSystem technology, and a new aero-engineered Contact SLR composite handlebar to make it even faster against the wind. Class-leading efficiency - With the highest pedaling stiffness-to-weight ratio of any bike in its class and updated aero tube shaping, this frameset is engineered to give Giant pro road racers superior climbing capabilities, aerodynamic efficiency, and sprint stiffness for race-winning performance. LOOK 795 Blade RS Disc Red eTap
$11,000.00
The 795 BLADE RS is already considered one of the best high-end road racing bikes and is a firm favorite among competitive riders. This upgraded version retains 100% of the high-performance characteristics while considerably reducing weight. The result is an exceptionally stiff and reactive ride with a frame weighing a full 300g less than previous models. Saving so much weight without compromising handling and aerodynamic performance can only be achieved by adjusting two all-important parameters: an even-higher performance carbon layup and a new manufacturing process: EPS. These two combined give the 795 BLADE RS all the qualities it requires to be the fastest, most comfortable, and most versatile bike LOOK has ever designed.

Pinarello Prince Ultegra Di2
$5,500.00
We asked our designers and engineers to transfer the amazing riding experience of DOGMA F12 to the new PRINCE. The result is a bicycle with technical characteristics and performance standards that outperform many high-end road bikes on the market today. No Visible Cables In conjunction with our exclusive parts brand MOST, a new series of TiCR-ready handlebars and stems have been created, ready to accommodate the integrated cable routing. Additionally, the holes for the cable routing have completely disappeared, increasing the aerodynamics and rigidity of the frame itself. New Fork The new Prince fork has undergone significant changes: integration with the chassis as done in the DOGMA F12, more streamlined, improved aerodynamic flow, and fork flaps to decrease drag around the wheel attachment. Downtube Another important development has been done on the down tube, which is completely derived from Dogma F12. The use of the concave tube and the new shapes near the bottom bracket are all aimed at canceling the aerodynamic impact of the two bottles. True to Pinarello philosophy, the downtube is moved to the right to increase the asymmetrical effect of the frame. Chainstay Important work has also been done on the chainstay to increase the responsiveness of the frame—especially noticeable when riding out of the saddle.

LOOK 795 Blade Disc Ultegra
$4,500.00
The 795 BLADE RS is considered one of the best high-end road racing bikes among competitive riders. The 795 Blade takes all of the characteristics of the RS and bundles them into a package that's attainable by more people. The 795 Blade utilizes the same mold and maintains all the same features of its older sibling but utilizes a different carbon layup to offer a price-conscious frame, packed with the same aerodynamic benefits as the RS. The result is a bike that packs a performance punch without the painful punch to your wallet. This efficient and versatile aero bike combines the best of LOOK carbon fiber engineering with the best of Shimano groupsets.
3T Strada Pro Force
$4,000.00
A stiff frame for ultimate power transfer. Wider tires for an unexpected wealth of comfort. A 1x drivetrain to improve aerodynamics and save 400g in component weight. And aerodynamics optimized around all these features! 3T's Strada blends together benefits in a way no other aero road bike can. Do you want speed or comfort? Both! Wider tires are one of the biggest factors in road bike comfort by reducing the shock of cracks, curbs, and cobbles. But aerodynamics are also important on such rides, and wide tires tend to test poorly in the wind tunnel. However, that is to be expected if you test them with frames and parts optimized for narrow tires. The Strada is the first aero road frame optimized for wider tires, so finally you can be fast and comfortable all the time, from the cobbles to the climbs. All day, every day, with one and the same bike. With all aero road bike developments of the past 20 years, the drivetrain was never really tackled. So we did. The BB area - with frame, crank, chainrings, front derailleur, water bottles and rider legs - leaves little room for the air to pass through. A single ring drivetrain eliminates the front derailleur and inner ring. Thus it reduces frontal area and creates space for unobstructed air flow. And with modern cassettes (in particular the 3T Overdrive and Bailout), you still have all the gears you need. The Strada Pro Force complete bike takes full advantage of the Strada features. SRAM is the world leader in 1x drivetrains and the Force 1x groupset is flawless. Additional features include the power meter-ready crankset and Discus C35 PRO aero train/race wheels with Pirelli tires (we spec the “25mm” labeled tires because they fit much wider on the Discus C35 PRO rim so the combination creates a perfect 28.3mm effective width).
Pinarello Paris 105
$3,400.00
Paris has been designed for endurance use with a more comfortable geometry that embraces a wider audience. However, much of the technology from the Dogma F12 is also found on this bicycle, and that's why we consider it the perfect entry bike to fall in love with the Pinarello brand. Paris is a bicycle developed and created to ensure maximum comfort without forgetting the racing spirit of every Pinarello bicycle. The biggest differences from Dogma and Prince are the Reach and Stack—Paris has a real balance found by our PinaLab technicians for a geometric solution that lengthens the bike and makes it more comfortable to ride without losing the reactivity—a key feature for a road bike.

Cervelo Caledonia 105
$3,200.00
A BIKE FOR THE WAY RIDERS RIDE Caledonia doesn't fit in a box nicely, and we like it that way. It was conceived on our Thursday night rides-routes that often play fast and loose with 'road ride.' As we tried to stuff bigger tires into our R5s and streamline our Asperos, a new kind of bike was born. When we design a bike, we start with our library of tube shapes. These shapes are tubes we've used on other models that we know to have various qualities-aerodynamic, stiff, ultralight, etc.-and they help get us to the refinement stage on a bike more quickly. In the case of Caledonia, we wanted durability, lightweight, and aerodynamics to be in balance and selected a package that achieved the performance demands of this kind of race bike. Caledonia uses a standard round bar, stem, and seat post, giving riders the option to build their ultimate ride without compromise. Integrated accessory mounts and hidden fender mounts keep the bike's refined lines so you can ride with lights and computers in a downpour and still look fast. Because we all know if it looks fast, it probably is. Rather than designing multiple versions of the bike with various fit profiles (R5, R-Series, etc.) like we've done in the past, we designed a system that enables a broad range of fits on a single bike while maintaining the aesthetic and functional cleanliness we demand. Modern road riders are looking for bikes to handle long-distance, high pace, no limits, and offer maximum fun. By placing lower modulus carbon in key areas to mitigate the brittleness of hi-mod fiber-the Caledonia delivers performance, comfort, and speed. Oh, and you can fit a 34mm tire in there. Or 31mm with fenders.
